This is the recording that started it all. Well - it was the first one. This is the remastered version of the 2009 demo previously released as "Extreme Unction." In the 2016 mastering sessions for Renatus, I decided to remaster it and give it a new life so that everyone can really hear the depth of Last Rites even in the earliest recordings.

"Proper Burial" showcases Last Rites roots in thrash metal. Raw emotional vocals and in-your-face guitars - it is metal in the most pure form. But even so, listen - there is more to hear than monophonic riffs. The lyrics beg you to contemplate while the music rages around.
